If our basic needs are not being meet this can lead to a feeling of unhappiness or stress. Ask yourself these questions….

 

THE BASICS – We all have certain basic needs and when these are satisfied we feel more balanced in life. These needs include the need for security, a sense of autonomy and control over our lives, intimacy, attention and privacy, status, being part of the wider community, achievement and a sense of meaning and purpose.

 

QUESTION – Use the list above and ask yourself “are my basic needs being met” and if not consider what actions you can take to address the gap.
